PURPOSE

This video aims to demonstrate a rather uncommon complication during minimally invasive surgery

and its successful management.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

During Robot Assisted Laparoscopy Pyeloplasty in an infant, the renal vein was accidentally

nicked when the pelvis was trimmed. The vein was quickly grasped and the cut was sutured with

a 6/0 Prolene suture. Around 75 ml of blood was lost during surgery.
